Make Money as a Life Coach® with Stacey Boehman | The Visibility Series: Clientele

What if getting more visible isn’t about reaching more people, but being seen by the clients you most want to coach?

In this episode, I introduce the Visibility Series and explain why visibility looks different when you approach it as an entrepreneur coach. The goal isn’t simply followers or attention. It’s building a clientele that buys and makes your business more energizing to grow.

Tune in to discover how the clients you attract can shape everything from how you feel about your prices to how willing you are to be seen. I share why changing who you are in response to the wrong clientele can make you less visible to the people you actually want to work with, and how focusing too heavily on numbers can pull you away from connection and service.

Welcome to the Make Money as a Life Coach® podcast where sales expert and master coach Stacey Boehman teaches you how to make your first 2K, 20K, and 200K using her proven formula.

Hi coaches, welcome to episode 403. How are you? How’s your summer going? How has it gone? Mine has been really good. I’m back to work, but I have been radiating this feeling of contentment that I cannot explain. Everything right now in my life feels really good. And I’ve been thinking about this dichotomy, is that the right word, of contentment and ambition? And how do I hold them both in my heart and really build from contentment? And yes, gratitude and all the things, but contentment. These two words have been really powerful for me because I have so much ambition that it tends to take me out of my contentment. But how can I be content and build from there?

And I just took the summer off, and really, I meant to work two days a week and work really hard in those two days and then play really hard in the five days. What I ended up doing is taking most of the summer off. I worked only, I showed up for my calls and I over-delivered and stayed over on my calls. I showed up for some podcasts. I think I did six total social media posts. I just got off social media. I took a break from that. I just really got into my life, and I’m feeling so much gratitude for the business I built and a lot of gratitude for the thinking and the skill sets that allow me to have a multi-million dollar business and be so present and engaged with my children and spend so much actual time with them: going to the movies, playdates, going to the pool, watching movies, snuggling, reading books, playing Play-Doh, just all of the things. I’m feeling so grateful. We can build big businesses, create tons of value, over-deliver to our clients, and our brain can make us so efficient at doing this. And then when we’re the boss and we understand how to make really good lean money with entrepreneurship, y’all, this is the result.

So, I’m just feeling so grateful and I’m writing this level of contentment in my body, and it’s also been producing a crazy amount of ideas for me to be ambitious about. I just had this idea today that I’m like, I didn’t actually just have it today. I’ve been having it for like a year and a half now. And I’m telling you about it now because one day I’m going to maybe announce it to you, like years from now, and I’m going to be like, “Remember that podcast when I told you?” The call keeps getting louder and louder and louder and louder to create something that I know will take me at least two years to create. It might blow up my business just a little bit, not all the way, but just like a little bit. It’s going to be an interesting thing. And I do think it will take me two years potentially to build out with all the other things I’m also working on. But I think it could be like really big and important. And so I’m just kind of thinking about that and just, I just feel the value I’m going to create in the next few years and I’m feeling really good about that.

And also knowing I’m going to do that in the constraints of my life and my desires, putting my family first and treating myself like an asset, not being run into the ground. We’re having open coaching right now in the in the Entrepreneur Membership and we’ve been talking so much about this. And yeah, I just had to share that with you. I don’t know, I’m just feeling so good and I had to tell you.

So, that actually brings me to today’s lesson. And I think you guys have been waiting for this. You’ve been telling me you’ve been waiting for this. I’m going to be announcing on this podcast, by the time you hear it, I will already have announced on social media and on my email list, so hopefully you’re following me at Stacey Boehman. And also on my email list. But I’m going to also announce it for the podcast as if you haven’t heard anything yet, where we’re headed for the next half of the year, the remainder of the year in the Entrepreneur Coach Membership.

And how I want to take you into this, what we’re going to be talking about, is this. I’ve been thinking a lot about the entrepreneur coach. If I created the definition, what would that mean? And one of the definitions would be a well-paid coach. If you treat your coaching business not as a hobby, not as a coach who makes money, but as an entrepreneur who is risking themselves to build something great, someone seeking high reward, someone ambitious, a business person, you will be well-paid.

And you know, for a long time, my business was and still very much is, I help life coaches make money. But a few years ago, I realized or I was thinking and answering the question, how do I think so differently than most of my clients? What are all of the things that make me think differently than them? What is it exactly? And part of that has always been how I think about selling and the way I think about the buyer. And also, it was I think like an entrepreneur. It’s like my identity is coach. And then what I do is entrepreneur. If entrepreneur was a verb, I’m a coach. Oh, what do you do? I entrepreneur. That’s the way I think about it. And I do think of myself as an amazing business person, and I have lots of evidence for that, measurable evidence to prove so.

And then I’ve been thinking, how have I created the result of being an amazing business person? And I believe what has created this result has been high conversion rates, a highly profitable clientele who don’t just follow, they buy. And then me running a business in a way that keeps me well-paid. And thinking and doing like an entrepreneur has changed the way that I market, the way that I do everything. If you think about, you know, I’ve talked about the three-part business engine: marketing, selling, delivering. When I think about the very first thing we’re doing, marketing, and I think about visibility, I think about how differently I see the world because I think like an entrepreneur.

Being an entrepreneur has changed how I create visibility, what its purpose is, how to utilize it when I actually have it. My agenda, I’ve noticed over the years, is radically different than many of my clients and some of my coach friends. Now, I do think it’s worth mentioning here that I also have no desire to be famous. I have friends who want to be famous. I have no desire to be famous, and I love when my clients get famous. I love when y’all go viral. It’s so fun if you want it. I don’t want it. So I’m not going for influencer or content creator in any way.

And I recently saw this video on social media and it said like as an entrepreneur, you can’t think your job is to create content and to try to be a content creator. If you want to be paid, you got to know your job is to be an entrepreneur and like go sell some shit. That’s your main job. It was something like that. And I just remember wanting to shout, “Yes, this is what I’ve always been saying,” which is why last week’s episode, the MVP was creating content versus creating clients because I think it’s two different things. And I think that content creators and influencers are very focused on creating content for followers to have influence. It’s very different than an entrepreneur who has a product and what needs a clientele to buy it.

So it got me thinking about this entire visibility equation, this entire way that my business has been able to be so successful and so lean in three days a week, spending so much time with my kids because I want this for all of you. And not just, this isn’t just for me, because my clients get incredible results. The more I love my life, and you, this is probably true for you too if you think about it, the more alive you are in your own life and the more you love it, and the more alive you are in your business and the happier you are, the better you coach. The faster your brain works, the clearer your thinking is. I really think the best thing a coach could ever do is to figure out how to work very little. In the scheme of things, right? Like once you can get your business to run off of 15, 20, 30 hours a week, do it.

And the more you can go live your life, you’re just being a life coach. Like that is the integrity alignment equation. So many of you loved my alignment marketing podcast. I’ve been thinking about so much about that. It’s like that is a result that you create by understanding how to create visibility as a coach and an entrepreneur, to do it in the equation in the way that allows you to be a true example of what’s possible as a life coach.

And this is at every level because the year I made $150,000, I took a five-week road trip across the country by myself and live streamed all of it and was living the, like I was dating myself in the French quarter, taking myself to dinner, doing incredible things by myself. I went to Florida, I went to this beautiful wedding on the beach in Florida, I went to New Orleans and spent time there, I went to San Diego to a mastermind, I went to L.A., I went to Laguna Beach, I went to Colorado, I went to Vegas. Seriously, live streaming at the pool at the Paris Hotel in Vegas. I was just living life, and I attracted a ton of clients that way.

And then when I made $325,000 that year, I went on a three-week trip across Europe. I went to Spain, I was in Madrid, I was in Barcelona, I was in Paris, France, I was in Ibiza, doing incredible things the whole time, like VIP the whole way, having the time of my life, live streaming the Eiffel Tower sparkling, just alive, having a fullness about me that people wanted for themselves. And this aliveness just again, it just attracted so many people to me and the right people to me. And so I’ve just been thinking a lot about how coaches need to be seen, what makes an entrepreneur coach stand out, especially in maybe what feels like a crowded industry and really be seen and chosen, chosen. And for me, it had to be by the best clientele.

Because I do think there’s two types of coaching experiences and two types of selling experiences you can have. So one experience is where it’s really hard to sell and clients have lots of objections and they need several follow-ups and they delay and they flake. And then if they do start, they fight you the whole time that you’re coaching them and they don’t really see a lot of results. And if they do, they have like amnesia about it, forgot that you helped them at all. Like there’s like a period of time where they’re coming to the calls and they’re lit up and things are really great and then they’re like, I don’t really think this is helping. I’m going to quit early. The amount of 2k-ers that have told me this has happened, I’m like, what causes that? Client amnesia. It’s the worst clients. That’s what happens.

And experience two is where you have demand and clients are dancing to pay you and they are enthusiastic and they are joyful and they are decisive and they have personal power and they use it to make decisions with you, like investing. And then they do the work. They are coachable. They have transformations. They’re so grateful. They share all their wins with you. They tell the world about you. Like all of their friends, their family is like, “What is happening?” And they’re like, “Oh, my coach.” You are their secret weapon and you can’t believe you get to coach them as a job.

Like I have a friend, I think I’ve said this on the podcast before, I have a friend who I met through my son’s classroom, like a fellow parent at school. And she has a life coach and the way she speaks about her life coach, I love listening to her talk about her life coach. She thinks she walks on water. She credits her to saving her life. And she had like a very, very, very aggressive hard illness that almost crippled her life and this coach has helped her fight this thing and come out on the other side and get healthy again and get her life back. And she just, the way she talks about her, I just like love her and I don’t even know her. She’s like, my coach Tracy, my coach Tracy. She loves her. So oh, I got to go, I have my coaching call with my coach. She loves her. The best clients.

That is a completely different experience. When your entire practice is filled with those people who see easily the value you bring and don’t need you to prove it and don’t need you to jump through hoops and perform and work hard and overwork and do the things for them, it’s a completely different coaching business. I remember when I went to Paris, I had a client who had been a really tough client, if I was being honest. I think we always know. She’d been a really tough client, and when I went to Paris, she quit coaching with me because she said she was uncomfortable that I was using her money to go to Paris. Like what? She didn’t like how I was using my money that she was paying me. Like it felt like her money. You’re going to Paris on my money. I’m not going to Paris on my money, so you shouldn’t be going to Paris. It was the weirdest thing. But she quit.

Let’s fast forward a few years later. I had a client, this is when I was flying private at the time. I don’t know if you guys know, I don’t fly private anymore. I’m like terrified since I had kids to fly private. I have this like safety in numbers thing that I got to be on a big plane with lots of people. It’s, my husband is like, “You’re a psycho.” And also we’re putting that money into investments and being a little bit more mature about it. But I’m like, oh my God, I just can’t. I can’t be the only person on a plane anymore. Maybe one day that will fade, but right now it’s very strong.

So I deal with all of the annoying things that I hate about flying commercial. I know this is so bougie. But anyways, I deal with it because I feel safer in greater numbers on the plane. You guys have this experience? Because I do. Anyways. I had a client that paid me $50,000 to coach with me and to learn how to make millions. And she sent her payment and then she was like, “I felt so excited imagining you taking my 50K and going to fly private.” How crazy is that? To have one person be like, you are not allowed to use my money to go to Paris. I am very turned on by the fact that you’re going to use my money to fly private. Like two very different experiences.

And so I really do know the difference between having a business who has clients who have clients that are like judging how many hours you work, judging all the things, not happy with how you are moving in the world, need you to be a certain way for them, for them to get results, and for them to be happy with buying from you and working with you, and then clients who are like, everything you do is just such an opportunity and example to see the way that you live.

And I believe when you have a full practice of client number two, the second experience, it fuels you and it gives you energy to create more. You want to launch that group when your client base is full of people you love. You want to raise your prices and grow fast. You feel prosperous because your clients are also prosperous. It’s like everybody’s prosperous. You want the world to see you. You are a success. Confidence backs everything you do, everything you touch. And then when you’re in this space of, I love my life and I love my business and I love my clients and my clients are awesome and they make me want to work with more of those people and you’re in this space, you’re suddenly speaking to the right people or at least the right version of them, their highest best self, with your best self, your highest self. And you might be saying the exact same message, but it will land differently and it has a very different impact.

And every time I am coaching a coach who is an experience one, they are struggling to show up and be visible because who wants more of a train wreck? You know what I mean? You’re like, I get off the phone and I’m exhausted. I can’t imagine taking on more clients. There’s no way from that space, you’re going to become more visible. That you’re going to go out and grow your business and make hundreds of thousands of dollars or millions of dollars from my clients run me into the ground. I have to do notes for them. I have to like prepare before the call, then I got to do notes after the call, then I got to send them follow-ups, I got to check in. Too much. It’s too much. It’s too much.

But this happens, and then I’ve coached so many people when they’re in this space with client number one or clients in experience one, they are in so much turmoil about their prices. And what’s so wild is because we have this coach heart, you have the worst set of clients and then you’re also like can’t leave them behind. You feel terrible to leave them behind. I’m like, you should absolutely leave them behind immediately. Call them today. Goodbye. If your client was in any sort of unhealthy relationship, you would be like, “Girl, get out of there.” But we’re like, “I can’t leave them behind. What will they do without me?” I’m being a little funny about this, but this really is a real thing. I coach people on this all the time.

If you feel like if I raised my prices, my clients will not be happy, this is a sign. Now, they might be like, okay, a little bit barfy, okay, let’s go. The best clients will be like, okay, I’m going with you, or they’ll be like, listen, I can’t go with you, but I’m so happy for you. You deserve this growth. That’s the best client. But when you’re afraid I can’t raise my prices because it will not be well-received and people are going to be upset, you don’t have bad clients, but you don’t have the best clientele. That’s what I can tell you.

And what happens to these coaches when I’m coaching them is that they end up changing who they are. Let’s just say that. They end up changing who they are. And this is the craziest part and full disclosure, I have fallen trapped to this too. Changing who you are for the worst clients. And then the moment you change who you are even subtly, the world engages with you from that place, and your result becomes invisibility to the best clients, or any clients.

So I just recently coached one of my 200K mastermind students who had built a business and was making very good money, and then one, one worst client made her change everything about herself, her offer, how much it was. And the money started to dry up. Like she started offering coaching for I think about half of what she was offering, and then it was harder to make money and harder to sign clients. And this can even happen before you make money and you ever have a client in your own mind, because often times you’re your own worst client. You are not managing your mind. You are complaining. You are making yourself overwork. You’re doing all the things the worst clients would do, but to yourself.

So it’s a big obstacle with your first clients who usually aren’t the best is it kind of, it makes you imagine that growing will double that. And it could if you don’t fix it. But you’re like, okay, I have 10 clients and I can’t imagine having 20 because this takes so much of my energy and it’s so hard and so draining. Versus I have 10 amazing clients and oh my God, I just want, I want 10 more. I want a million more. That’s typically in the beginning what happens is people tell me I don’t have the energy for more clients because the ones I have just take up all my energy.

And then as you start to scale and you start thinking about numbers and like logical, if I want to make a million dollars, I need 100 clients, and that breaks down to this many per month and then I need to be, when you start mathing your goal and creating operations to hit your goal and start thinking in that way, you stop factoring in the buyer, the person you want to help, your best person and your motivation changes to visibility. And then the message becomes less pure and the intention wavers and so does the impact. So in the beginning of your business, this is a big obstacle because your first clients, because you’re, you’re the worst client and your brain’s a little messy and your belief is lower with your ability to make money, you attract not the best of the best. And then you imagine growing will be more of that and you don’t really have the motivation to do that.

Then, let’s just say at some point you actually do get the best of the best clients. This is the other thing I see happen. You get the best of the best clients, you love your business, you’re so excited to grow, and then you set a really big goal and you switch from your heart and your connection and your service that motivates that really big goal. I want more of these people to help because they’re so amazing and I just want to help the world to like, I want to make a million dollars, I need 100 people to do that, and you start mathing. You can’t math miracles. I recently said this on a call. You’re going to miss the miracle of connection and service to your client and the things that happen when you’re coming from that place, how you market, how you sell, the way your message lands, you’re going to miss all of that. You’re not going to be able to reach people through your computer screen into their iPhone. You’re not going to be able to do that when you’re like mathing and logically thinking about the operational side of getting to a million dollars. It doesn’t work.

There’s math and then there’s like the miracle of being in the energy, the energetics of what attracts people to you. And I like to think of us all as lighthouses and we’re pouring light out into the ocean to show boats, hey, come in this way. Safety is this way. Your light dims when you start becoming really obsessed with the numbers and the and the how and the and the procedures and the processes and the operations and the math of it all. When your motivation changes as to why you want to grow, why you want to be seen by more people, your message becomes less pure, the intention wavers, it goes from service to get, and then the impact wavers, and then what happens? You start attracting not the best people. And then suddenly you have a business of not the best people and it starts feeling draining again and the cycle continues.

So I’ve been really thinking about how I have grown a business as an entrepreneur coach that has really made me stand out from all the other business coaches, all the other mindset coaches. I really do think that it starts with a different type of visibility. It starts with the alignment marketing. It’s visibility built for and on the best clientele, fueled by everything I do being focused on and communicating and creating for and selling to the best clientele. So that I surround myself with people that inspire me and I get off a call.

Like nowadays it’s like very typical that I will tell you our hour is up but I’m going to keep coaching. I am really loving being in the coaching. I’m having so much fun with the coaching, but the clients I’m coaching are doing incredible things with the coaching. And that feels incredible. Like we’re having the equation where we’re both at our highest self. And to me that’s when it just feels like I’m in a community of limitlessness. I don’t have a lot of complaining in my groups. I don’t really have a lot of, every once in a while, we’ll have weird stuff that’ll come up and, you know, I’ll teach on it and we’ll move on. But for the most part, I don’t have like messy communities and like drama happening. There’s not a lot of that. It’s like everybody’s just getting to work and doing the thing. And even if they’re stuck, they’re like being mature adults about it. They’re like, “Listen, I’m stuck, here’s what’s going on. I’m open, coach me hard, let’s go.”

So when I thought over the summer while I’m like reveling in my contentment of my life and I was thinking about what I wanted to teach in the second half of the year and what felt really important when I think about the entrepreneur identity and the coach identity and marrying these two together to where they work so beautifully that you’re able to have this incredible, robust, alive life right alongside your incredibly successful business and it works and it’s balanced and it’s everything you thought it could be when you decided to become an entrepreneur and a coach, and I came to this conclusion that I needed to teach visibility. I needed to teach alignment marketing. I needed to teach everything that goes into every step of being seen and standing out in this industry and to becoming visible to clients who will pay you and be the best clients and helping you understand the thinking that creates this naturally from an aligned place without force.

The thing I think I spent the most time thinking about was the order to which I want, there’s three topics I want to teach, and the order to which I wanted to teach them. Because I could see teaching them one way and then completely the opposite way. And here’s what I settled on. I realized that we had to reverse engineer the visibility equation and start with who we want to be seen by, who we want to be calling in and working with and what we want to be building and who we need to be in order to build it. It’s like the deepest dive into positioning, who you are to other people in the world, what you stand for, what you most want and magnifying that to your best people at every single level.

So, this is the next series of teachings inside the Entrepreneur Coach Membership. I’m putting the lens of entrepreneur and well-paid coach onto visibility. I’m reverse engineering the equation for you. You will not learn this anywhere else. Anyone else teaching, and everybody’s teaching it right now, it like I feel like the word has started to lose meaning. Everyone is teaching visibility. And I think it’s because we’re at a place and time where it is just an all-time low in our mind of feeling visible. I don’t actually think that’s the true, the measurable truth, but we feel more invisible than ever before for many reasons. We’re going to discuss it inside the programs, but I don’t think that the answer is artificial intelligence. I will just tell you this. I don’t think that’s the answer. I’ll have a podcast about that. I’m going to release a ton of podcasts and give you a ton of value for free here on the podcast, but you’re going to get my most organized, thought-out, engaged teachings and coachings and mentorship and all the things, you’re going to get my strongest views inside the actual membership inside the program.

So there’s going to be three courses, calling it the visibility series. I’m not releasing all of the names of all of the courses at once because I don’t want us to get ahead of ourselves and I don’t want to have to explain each piece all at once because that feels like a big job and feels like we could get kind of too much in the weeds for you to really be excited about this. But what I will tell you is that each course is going to add up to full immersion into visibility, the kind that matters from zero all the way to millions, the kind that has you in your alignment in your marketing, the kind that connects you, not disconnects you from your coach art and your purpose, the kind that entrepreneurs and coaches, the entrepreneur coach needs to be creating.

The first one is clientele. Visibility has layers of problems, but the very first one, why we have to reverse engineer is we have to think about what’s the goal here at the end of visibility. What do I want? I want amazing clients who pay me what I want to be paid. I want to be a well-paid coach. That’s what I want from this visibility. So we have to start here and reverse engineer. Like the first problem is who you speak to, who you sell to. This matters.

So you can join me for the first one and each one after. You can join monthly or annually. Annually you do get two months basically off. It goes from $297 a month to $3,000 annually if you do that. But enrollment is open. We begin September 3rd and you can sign up at StaceyBoehman.com/ec-membership.

Now, for this first course, I’m going to be doing something different than I’ve done before. Typically, we open and we close in about a week and you have to join us before the course starts. But when I was doing the entrepreneur series, something that would always happen is once we get into the work and once we get into the magic, people would start wanting to join like crazy, and we let them. It was a limited course, you know, as long as you were good to know that you only had X amount of time and then it was going away, we didn’t care. It’s like people were buying a day before access ended and they were like, “It’s fine. This is the best client, seriously. They’re like, it’s fine. I’m going to binge this all in one night. I’m going to get it done.”

And it was kind of like this miracle thing. When I started this membership, I needed to kind of like get a handle and a flow for myself and kind of figure out the whole vibe of a membership, which I do think is a little bit different than standalone courses. But for this very first course, I’m going to keep enrollment open so that you can join anytime because I do think that this thing is going to really take off and we’re going to have that same experience where people are like, “Oh my God, I missed out,” or, “Oh my God, I wanted to get in.”

And so we’re going to keep it open, but I really want to encourage you to get in now and go at the pace that I’m going to teach you. If you’re going to pay to listen to me, listen to me for free on this. Accept this coaching. Get in now if you can. It will be the best time. You can join monthly. So if you get in at the very beginning, you can do the entire clientele course, the first part of the visibility equation for just $297. Now, the next best time to get in is as soon as you can. So as soon as you hear this, but then don’t choose, I’m behind, I’m left out, I don’t belong. Be the girl that jumps in late to the party but brings the party.

Now, I know that there might be a few people who have some drama about this just because you have a thought in the way or an objection or something rubs you the wrong way doesn’t mean you’re the worst client. We’re going to talk about that in the program as well. That’s a human thing. But we’ve already gotten emails about this because I decided when we launched the membership that I would let everybody have access to the content even if you join now, you’re going to get what we did in January and February and March and April. And I did that because every once in a while we do open coaching calls and I want people to be able to get coached on the past stuff too without people having a lot of drama that they missed out and then like not being able to bring things in and be like, “Oh, I really think this would help you to jump into serve, or I think this would be really, you should take ROI.” I didn’t want to have to not have conversations because some people didn’t have access to those conversations. And it’s easier and it just is way better to manage operationally, creates less operational forced errors to the client.

And so I love all my reasons. But there were a few people who’ve had some drama about this and we’ve gotten some emails. And if you are having this thought, the way you’re thinking about it is like, that’s not fair. They came in halfway through and paid less and I want to address this. Since we’re going to keep it open for this course, maybe for the whole series, but definitely for this course, I know some people are going to have some feelings of that’s not fair. They came in halfway through, we’re five calls or four calls in and they just paid and they get access to the whole thing. They paid less. Some thought error that they’ve paid less. And here’s what I want to say. No, they didn’t. They paid differently. People that come in late during any part of this visibility series have paid with their time. They are not on pace with the group. They now have to spend their weekend binging or they have to jump in halfway through. They don’t get the same amount of implementation that you get. They don’t get the pace that it was meant to be taken in. They don’t get the mental and physical space for thought integration. It’s more expensive to them in the long run.

But most importantly, if you removed them from the equation of your success, they have no impact on your results. They’re not your business. Who cares what they’re doing? Because someone else got a discount code and you didn’t, you’re not going to buy the dress to go to the party? I don’t care at all if someone discounts something I just bought. I wanted it then so I could wear it immediately to the party, to the dinner, to the thing. It makes no sense and it’s not investor mindset. Investor mindset is wanting to be the first one in, seeing the value before everyone else is something investors pride themselves in. It’s what the self-concept they have about themselves, seeing value before anyone else, jumping on it, having more time for things to compound, realizing those who buy later buy at a premium, being ahead of the curve.

And I want you to think about this. There are people waiting, I know because they’ve emailed me, and they want to see how you do in the program. They’re waiting to hear your experience. They’re waiting for safety. They’re waiting for proof. I’ve had people tell me, I’m going to join next year once all the courses are out. I’m going to join once I hear how other people are experiencing. I’m just going to wait and see. Those are not leaders right now. Doesn’t mean you can’t be if you’re one of those people, but those are not leaders, those are not investors. It’s not the way we think. They are actually your followers. They are following your footsteps. They are not going first. You are. Be so freaking proud of that $297 first right away and often, with intention. You are a leader.

I do not wait to see if other people are successful in a course or in a mastermind or in a program. I’ve been thinking about this a lot. Had I done that, I would not have gotten certified when I had. I would not have made the money I did at the exact time that I did. And I would not have gotten invited to a millionaire room, and I would not be speaking to you all right now. And I remember being salty because the very next class, so I jumped into my certification, the very first time it was offered once the school had started a podcast. And the very next class after me got a business training for six whole months. Like everything, hand-held all the way through all the things needed to do to set up their business and it was like $2,000 more.

And I told myself the story that I got punished for going early. I got over it. Actually, one of the things I think is a miracle is that I got over that. Like I handled the no because I asked like, can I pay 2k more and like jump into the training? And they said no, and I handled that so well. I was salty for a minute, but I handled that really well. And I look back as like that was a miraculous reaction because if I had just waited three months later, every single moment of my career would have been off. A completely different trajectory.

So when you start comparing yourself to other people’s paths, you have the potential to miss yours. So don’t let this first time keeping it open for all of the first course of visibility, don’t let that be a thing that keeps you out or makes you mad, especially if you’re already in. Now, you might also be listening and think, “Oh my God, I didn’t get in as a founder. I’m behind. Might as well not get in at all.” We do these things to ourselves. I don’t know why. And I want to say with so much love, like I love you and that would be just stupid. I’m kidding sort of, from love. The best time to get in is as soon as the opportunity presents itself. But the next best time is always now in the moment. It’s like opportunity came knocking again and you’re saying no on the premise that you missed the first opportunity. Come on. No.

You’ve heard the saying, right? Of like he’s on the top of a roof and a boat comes by and says, “Can I help you?” And he says, “No, I’m waiting for Jesus to help me.” And then another boat comes, “Can I help you?” you know, jump in the boat. No, no, no, I’m waiting. Jesus is going to save me. The third boat comes, same thing. No, no, no, Jesus is going to save me. And then he drowns. And when he meets Jesus, he’s like, “Jesus, why didn’t you save me?” And Jesus is like, “I sent you three freaking boats.” I haven’t heard it for years, but this is it. This is what people do. It makes no sense.

Don’t say no on the opportunity now just because you missed the first courses. Don’t say no if you listen to this episode and we’re like two courses in and there’s one course left and you’re like, “Oh my God, I was behind on the podcast and I’m just hearing it and I’ve already missed the first two.” because I’ve already told you, you could have done them in the opposite direction. We could have started with the last course that I’m going to do and then the middle course. What’s interesting is I feel like the middle course would have always been the middle course. But I could have started with it as the first course, but you could do them in any order. I’m choosing intentionally after thinking about it a long time which one I think is the best route, but it’s not the only route. The best route is doing it in any way that you can. Like if you missed the first wave of SpaceX and it happens to be worth more, not less, they’re not really sure what’s going to happen in the future, how it’s going to go. They had a set price and it’s either going to do a lot better or not. But you don’t pass because it got more expensive. You jump on it because the lifetime value of it could be exponentially higher than even its highest price today. Is that always true? No, there’s risk. But you take risks as entrepreneurs and as investors.

So I’m not thinking this is more expensive than it was six months ago. I’m thinking how much could it jump in six months and I want to be a part of that in the future. So it’s never about what’s happened in the past because I don’t have any power there. I can’t control that. So don’t do either of these things to you. Okay? Because I know I feel like the marketing is going to be very good around this. You’re going to hear a lot of people talking about it and you have the potential to have one of these two reactions and I want to call you into a deeper mindset about it. All that matters is that you get help on this. All that matters is that you find an equation for visibility that finally makes sense for you as a coach. All that matters is you figure out who you need to be to attract the best type of client who pays you what you deserve to be paid. That is the only thing that matters. Does not matter if you are behind two courses. Jump in, catch up later. It doesn’t matter that you started at the beginning and someone else jumps in two courses later and only just then starts paying their 297. Nonsense. Think like an investor, think like a leader, go first. Get what you need immediately. The faster you integrate this into the business, I think the more peace you’re going to have, the more alive you’re going to feel, the more aligned you’re going to feel in your marketing, the better results you’re going to create. It’s like this is what we’re all doing. You want to stand out and be seen to your absolute best clients. That is what we’re all working towards. And I’m going to teach it in a way you’ve never experienced it before.

So don’t let a minor objection like this keep you out of the game. And if you have any more, listen, feel free, email me. I’ll email you back.
