Make Money as a Life Coach® with Stacey Boehman | Are You HUNGRY?

Are you hungry enough for the business you say you want? In this episode, I explore what it really means to be hungry as an entrepreneur and why that hunger is often the driving force behind growth. I share what I’ve been noticing in conversations with coaches, why so many people end up talking themselves out of their ambition, and how that changes the way they show up in their business.

I explain why believing bigger results are possible is essential if you want to keep growing, and how losing that belief can quietly shrink your goals, your desire, and your willingness to fight for what you really want. You’ll hear why I think entrepreneurship requires hunger, how your relationship with ambition shapes your business, and why making peace with the hard parts of the journey changes everything.

I also invite you to take an honest look at your own ambition. Are you pursuing the goals you truly want, or have you convinced yourself to settle for something smaller? This episode will help you reconnect with your hunger, trust your capacity for growth, and embrace the version of yourself that’s willing to go after what really matters.

Welcome to the Make Money as a Life Coach® podcast where sales expert and Master Coach Stacey Boehman teaches you how to make your first $2k, $20k, and $200k using her proven formula.

Hey coaches, welcome to episode 399. I’m so excited to be here with you. I am coming back after a two-week vacation and a week to just get back on the time zone. I’ve never had worse jet lag in my life than coming from California back to Kentucky. I don’t even know what happened. I’ve gotten old, I guess. I don’t know. My body could not tolerate it. I took another week off, and I’m working two days a week for the rest of the summer until my son goes back to school.

And so I am coming to you rested, a little stuffy, but rested. And I want to give you a quick update about just what’s happening with me. I feel so often I’m very tunnel vision into what we’re going to talk about and I just go straight into it. But then you don’t really get any sort of personal side of me, which feels on track for just how I operate in business as well. Typically, our team meetings are like, “Good morning. Okay, what are we working on? Point A to point B.” I think that helps me and serves me in entrepreneurship. But sometimes we have to remember we’re connecting as human.

So, I want to give you a little bit about what’s been going on with me. And then we’re going to talk about hunger. I’ve learned actually a couple of lessons or brought into my awareness a couple of things with my 200k Mastermind launch. I’m going to tell you about that too. And so this episode and the next episode, I’m going to talk about some of the things that came up and that I think would be useful to have a conversation about.

Okay, so first, here’s what’s happening with me. Number one, I am coming back to life a little bit. I feel like I have been at war. Just not real war, but I feel like I just climbed Mount Everest and then took a couple of weeks to process that and come back to life. And what I mean by that, I don’t know how much I’ve updated you on the podcast, but I came back from maternity leave. That’s already dramatic enough. And then two months later, my husband broke his arm in two places and tore his labrum completely off the bone.

My baby was, I don’t know, five or six months old, could not hold either of our children, cook, pick up, do anything. And at the same time, I was launching a membership for the very first time ever and had lots of big aggressive goals for the first half of the year. And then at the same time, as all of this, I’m nursing exclusively. And in the fall and winter, my family went through the craziest amount of illness I’ve ever had in my life. I’ve never seen anything like it. If you were in Making of the Offer Behind the Scenes experience, you know that experience started with me getting the flu, flu B. And then a month later, we got flu A.

Literally, I went to the doctor for a checkup for my, I think my daughter’s 10-month or something wellness checkup, and they were like, “We’re not used to seeing you here without illness for just a standard checkup. What’s happening?” So all of that was happening at the same time. I stretched myself to the greatest capacity that I think I’ve ever stretched myself, except for maybe when I had Jackson and became a mom for the first time. There’s only two times in my life where I feel like I’ve stretched myself more than ever before, and it would definitely be becoming a mom and my husband’s surgery. So wild.

There were times where I felt like I was literally underwater and fighting so hard to coach myself. There were times where I thought I was going to collapse physically. My daughter was not sleeping through the night for so much of that. I look back, and I’m like, how did I do that? Coaching is the only explanation. I just worked so hard on my brain.

And I got to a point where I really, there was a time in February where I actually thought I was going to collapse from no sleep. And I coached myself and got coaching and I was able to bring back up and generate capacity that I literally did not think was possible. And that kept me going all the way through my 200k Mastermind launch.

And then I really felt tired in the deepest parts of my bones and my soul, and was having a really hard time bringing myself back up, and it was really perfect because I just went on vacation and set it aside. And I came back the first week and was feeling a little bit sluggish and now I’m coming back to myself.

And I was telling my Entrepreneur Coach Membership students, I’m not afraid of burnout. I know a lot of people in the industry are, and they try like everything in their bones and brain and body to avoid it. And I’m like, oh, if yeah, if I get to a place where I feel burnout, I’ll just take care of myself.

Like it’s okay, we’ll just relight the fire. And so I was thinking about the value of trusting that you can relight your fire, that you can rest, and you know how to rest well, and then that you could bring yourself back. I think this is next-level resilience, next-level self-trust, just massive believing you are in charge of your journey and that you’ll never get somewhere against your will and that you can’t bring yourself back from.

So I was talking to my membership students about that, and now I’m just coming a little bit back. But we had an incredible 200k Mastermind launch. We generated, made a million dollars more than the last launch, which is insane and incredible. And just again, I keep looking back I’m like, we generated two million dollars. When I say generated, what I mean is if you have payment plans or you have a membership, which is recurring revenue, that doesn’t all come in cash. I think we did over a million dollars, like maybe 1.4 this past month, but we have a lot of people on payment plans. So we’re generating that money long-term as well.

So, I created a new two million dollar revenue stream so far, and we created another million dollars in growth for my 200k Mastermind, which feels incredible. People were telling me that like I’ve never sold at a higher level. I felt that too. I’ve never delivered at a higher level than I did at A Day in 200k. It was just, it felt like 11 years of live event experience culminating into this incredible one day. No one felt overwhelmed. At least they weren’t commenting that. I’ve done lots of trainings where people were commenting like, “Oh, I’m so confused, I’m so overwhelmed.”

The energy was electric. We started the day. At some point early on, I asked everyone, “How much money would get you out of bed?” And I felt so awestruck, I could have cried. I can’t describe the feeling, but it’s still inside my body. If you were there, you know what I’m talking about. People were commenting 500k, a million, five million, 10 million, 200k, 100k, the number was insane, and I had this thought of like, “Where else could you have a conversation where there are hundreds, I think there were 400 people live the entire time. And where can you have a conversation where if you were in a room with 400 people all saying, I want to make this kind of money. This gets me out of bed. I’m excited to have this conversation.”

And entrepreneurship, that is so important. And then it struck me on another level that this was women, mostly women, like 98%, 99%, 99.5%, I don’t even know, but like an insane amount of women coming together to claim that type of ambition, blew me away. It was so, so fun. We converted at such a high level. Very proud of myself. We’re at this point where our emails, like we’ve been tracking everything, and we are really converting for what our audience size is at a really high level. And I’m really excited to dial that up, and just let’s go.

And on the personal side, so that’s what’s happening with the business. On the personal side, I am like losing my mind, y’all. I seriously think y’all need to coach me on this. I have lost my mind and gone mad planning my daughter’s first birthday. I don’t remember being so crazy about this with Jackson and everything was big with Jackson, too. He was the first baby, right? So it was just so crazy. I’m sure it’s because she’s a girl and I’m a girl. But I am going mad. The amount of hours, the amount of money, the amount of planning, and the level of seriousness that I have gone in with her first birthday is wild. Someone help me. What is happening? The photo shoots, the everything. I could make a career out of this. I could literally spend all of my time just planning photo shoots and parties for my kids. It’s a little bananas.

But what is that? Is that just like girl mom on steroids? Rich girl mom, what’s happening? We are having giant papier-mache statues of elephants and gorillas made for her circus, her come one, come all circus party. And my husband, bless his heart. Neil has gotten used to me. He just knows me now. I’m like, “Hey, babe. So listen, our options for circus animals for the entrance of the party, not even inside the party, the entrance of the party are balloons, they don’t look good, or cardboard cutouts, they don’t look good, in my opinion.” I’ve done them many times for many parties. I don’t like it for this, or balloons or stuffed animals. I don’t love it. So here’s this alternative, is that this company is going to build us these papier-mache, like giant things, and it’s going to be thousands of dollars. And I just feel like it’s go big or go home. I can’t see another way around it. And he’s like, “If you think we need it, babe.”

I love him so much. Like I said, y’all might need to coach me. I’ve literally lost my mind. I’ve gone mad, a little bit. I can’t, I’m like, “What is happening in my brain that I…” It feels like a launch. Who was I telling this? I felt like, I think I talked about this on A Day and 200k, that I also felt like Jackson’s birthday party was a launch. That’s how much energy I put into getting all of his classmates to come to his party, or getting the parents of his classmates to bring their children to his party, was like a full-on sales cycle. And then this now feels like I am crafting a new offer. The amount of time and energy I’ve put into this party feels like I’m crafting a new offer. I was thinking I could literally make so many more millions of dollars if I weren’t such an obsessive, crazy mom, wanting everything to be so big and so perfect.

But I also kind of love this about myself. I think that this is a fun quirk of mine. So that’s what I’m going to embrace for now. But seriously, if you guys have thoughts for me or comments, if you have been through this, if you are like, “Oh my God, this is so girl mom,” tell me. Or girl, get a handle on it. I might need you to tell me, “Girl, get a handle on it,” because it’s wild. I was texting my friend this morning. I’m like, seriously, I need help.

Okay, so that’s what’s happening with me. A little 12-minute intro, 13 minute intro of what is going on. So far, I’m really proud of what I’ve done this year. I have climbed Mount Everest. I have expanded my capacity more than I ever thought possible. I have also found my limit and pulled myself back from it. I have rested. I’m getting revved up for the rest of the year. I’m creating a three-course launch. So I’m going to do three courses sort of back-to-back for the rest of the year in my membership. I’m creating the One to Many Mastermind for the 200k Mastermind. I’m creating so many things for the 200k Mastermind. And I’m just in this place of feeling really proud and also being, I don’t know, just obsessed with motherhood. So that’s me. That’s what’s going on.

So now, I want to talk to you about one of the things that I kind of noticed when I was in my 200k Mastermind launch. I did this thing where I said, “Hey, message me if you’re thinking about 200k and I will message you back. I will actually send, tell me what your hangup is. I will message you back.” And we did this a lot via email, direct message. I am really an expert at getting people talking. And I had a lot of conversations and I heard a lot of things. And it made me think about this topic. And so I’m not going to give specific of conversations I had, but I want to talk about hunger and being hungry.

And I want to ask you if you feel hungry. If you feel a hunger inside your body ongoing, constantly that fuels you to do crazy shit. To go all in on big ideas, to invest heavily in your business, to say yes to every idea you get from those investments or every suggestion you get from those investments. Do you feel hungry for big goals and achievement? Does it just feel like you’re going a little bit mad with your business? I think this is necessary. And I think if you are an entrepreneur who is not hungry, I actually think your job will be harder and more difficult and slower and more painful.

And so I want to talk about this. And I’m hoping that this episode will reach someone, some of the people who reached out to me, some of the people who have been very quiet but are in my world. I am hoping that this helps you have a different relationship with hunger because I also think that sometimes as entrepreneurs, our hunger, we use it against ourselves. And the pain that comes from ambition and hunger and the frustration, when not thought about properly and usefully, can turn something so beautiful that we love so much, that is from our heart and our soul and turn it against ourselves in such a dramatic way that it makes us so miserable, takes us far from ourselves and the purpose of our mission and our vision, and can take our aliveness and have us be versions of ourselves that are not our favorite version. It can take us from honest conversations with ourselves.

So I want you to listen to this with a really open mind. And two things can happen. Either this can ignite your hunger or help you make peace with your hunger in a way that you didn’t even know you needed. So that’s what’s on the table if you continue listening.

So first, let’s talk about if you don’t feel hungry right now. If you don’t feel almost like you have to tame your being in a hurry. You feel this fire inside of you that pushes you, that’s having you go beyond your limit. First, you probably need just a really good working definition of hunger for me. I know exactly what it feels like in my body.

But when I say, are you hungry? Your initial response is, “I haven’t been lately, or I’m not feeling that right now, or I’m not really, or you could change hunger to ambitious. Do you feel ambitious, jumping out of your body?” If you do not feel that way this exact moment, it is possible that your goal is not big enough, or a reframe of this is your belief in the possibility of new outcomes is not big enough or solid enough. You don’t believe that if you were dramatic and going after something, if you were obsessive and going after something, if you put a lot of energy, if you said yes to all of your big crazy ideas, if you put 100% of yourself into something, if you went all in, if you started trying to solve the problem of where you are and where you want to be aggressively, you don’t believe that you would actually get the outcome that you want. If you don’t feel hungry, it’s possible that’s the reason.

I talked to a lot of coaches who were in two different boats. So one boat is, I have been at a level for a few years, and I just don’t see that breaking through to this next level is ever going to happen for me. So I’ve sort of just made peace that I’m at this level. I talked to a lot of people that were in that boat.

And I talked to a lot of people who were making a lot more money a few years ago, and their income has dramatically declined and/or was unsustainable, and they’ve sort of given up. It’s been now many years. It’s not coming back. They can’t do it the way they used to do it. And so they’ve stopped trying, stopped having the goal to make 100k, 200k, a million, whatever it was.

And I think that this is a case where entrepreneurship, when you don’t have really strong thoughts and understanding of the point and the process of entrepreneurship and what this journey is, this is where it can be used against you where you can really get down and get stuck in the hard of your ambition and the hard of not growing and sort of get lost in it and then give up. I talked to several people who had just given up. Their belief in anything being able to be possible to change was so low. So low that I am a master coach and I’ve coached thousands of coaches and I have helped people transform in the biggest of ways, and I could not coach them out of it. They were so stuck. So I think that stuckness comes from not believing a new outcome is possible or not having a big enough one.

There was also a small group of people who I feel like their goals just weren’t big enough to invest in a big way. They were playing very small. And it felt like as a protective mechanism. I’m protecting myself by having small goals and by having small things that I’m working towards instead of these really big ones because I’ve done the really big and it didn’t work and I’ve felt sort of hurt by that. Whatever we believe, if what you believe is possible is not big enough, then it doesn’t ignite a big enough desire. And then the big enough desire, if that’s not there, then the fight isn’t big enough.

So you have a low belief, then you have low desire, and then you have low fight. And then you get the results that come from that. And then you reinforce this idea that this is all that’s kind of available. And entrepreneurship is too hard of a game to play to set your sights on and build a business from this is all that’s available is like small growth and when I look at the people who really make it and who make a lot of money and who become very successful, they’re all people who believe and have believed that really big things are possible and they’ve fought like hell for that. And they’ve pushed themselves beyond their current identity, their current capacity. They’ve stretched themselves in the craziest strategies that feel insane.

I remember a time where I went from selling $36,000 one-on-one coaching to a $2,000 program. And my husband thought I’d lost my mind. But I was so enrolled and much bigger growth than one-on-one coaching was ever going to bring me. And so I was willing to do really big, really crazy things. And it could even be like not just business growth, but money growth. Are you hungry for more money? So many coaches tell me the answer is no.

But if you’re not massively hungry for more money and a bigger business, I think entrepreneurship becomes a little hard if you are an ambitious person. And most entrepreneurs, I would say like 99.9% of entrepreneurs are ambitious. They actually do want big crazy things. But we tell ourselves a lie that we don’t want that because we don’t want what’s involved in getting it. We don’t think we can handle the pain. We don’t see ourselves as someone strong enough to go through the difficult part of really creating a quantum leap of growth.

So we’re like, “You know, I’m not motivated by money.” And maybe, maybe that’s true. And especially in the coaching industry, I think there could be like a small group of people who are not motivated by money and they just love to coach and those coaches make great employee coaches, contract coaches. You can have a successful business that way, but for the most people I talk to, I just feel like they are very ambitious, very hungry people. This is why they get into entrepreneurship. And then at some point that feels painful and they talk themselves out of it.

I also think there’s more than one type of hunger. I think you can be life hungry, I think you can be love hungry, I think you can be experience hungry, I think you can be living hungry.

But I want to offer you, it is possible that I’m correct on this, that being an entrepreneur is being in the business of being hungry, and that the hungriest entrepreneurs get fed. And that the entrepreneurs who aren’t hungry don’t. You don’t make as much, you don’t create as much, you don’t change as much because the hunger is what drives so much of that change. The ambition is what drives so much of that change.

And again, if you’re not ambitious, that’s okay. But of the majority of people who become entrepreneur, you become an entrepreneur because you are an ambitious. It’s such high risk. The only reason that you would sign up for it for the most part is for the high reward. I’m willing to take the high risk to get the high reward. If you’re like, “I’m going to be an entrepreneur, but I don’t really want a high reward and I’m not really willing for high risk,” the problem becomes even to have a little success, to make your first 2k, to make your first 20k, to make your first 200k, to maintain 200k, to make your first million, all of those milestones require deep fight.

Even the first 2k. I was coaching on 2k for 2k recently, and I asked them like, “How many of you are approaching today as if you must make 2k today? You have to. Life depends on it kind of energy. I will not go to bed until I make 2k.” Are you bringing forth that level of energy? If you are not, you will likely not do the things required to make your first 2k. And maybe some of that won’t resonate, but another way to think about this is like in your brain, are you constantly trying to figure out how can I make 2k?

Again, that could feel really painful if you’re not making it, and it feels like a really hard problem. But if you had hunger and were up for the fight of solving that really big problem, you’re more likely, and you’re willing to think about it all day and night, and you’re willing to obsess about it, you’re probably going to create it. But if you make the obsessing part, thinking about it all the time, working so hard for it, fighting so hard for it, unrealized ambition, frustration, disappointment, if you make all of that this terrible thing, you will give up on the thing. You won’t do the thing required to make the thing happen.

So if you are ambitious, if you are, you got into entrepreneurship because you actually are willing, you were willing maybe even for high risk, and you want the high reward. You want to be making more money. You want to be having more impact. You want to be someone who is impactful. You want to be visible. You want to stand out. You want to make a mark. You want to be a thought leader. You want to be a breadwinner. If you want more success deep down, then you’ve got to make peace with this. You’ve got to know this about yourself. You have to listen to the hunger. You have to be okay with the hunger. You have to see the hunger as part of the journey. And you have to use that with yourself, not against yourself.

And if you have lost your hunger, if you have shoved down your hunger, I actually believe, although it’s a protective mechanism, it’s actually going to make entrepreneurship more unpleasant because the job of an entrepreneur is to be hungry. It’s to go hunt. It’s like being a lion and a lioness. Did you guys know that the female lions are the ones that hunt? The male lions stay home to protect the cubs. I’m like, see, this is Neil and I. He’s a male lion. I’m a female lion. I go hunt. He protects the kids. We are actually living the natural order of things. This is the way the animal kingdom is meant to run.

So that could be that you’re using that against yourself, right? You’re like, oh, you know, society has trained me that I’m supposed to be staying at home and I’m not supposed to be making the money and all the things, maybe that’s it. I’m trying to cover all of the possibilities of how this could show up, but the point is we are supposed to go hunt. The purpose of an ambitious person is to work on fulfilling that ambition, that hunger. And even if you never fulfilled it, I believe you will be happier in going for it than not.

Even in the most painful letdowns, you will be more proud of yourself and feel more aligned with yourself than when you are ignoring and shoving down and pretending you are not hungry, when you are not answering the call to your ambition. I believe even in the fail, even in the painful letdown, you have more honest connection to yourself if you are going after the hunger. I believe it’s more of you being you. It’s more of you allowing you. It’s more of you acknowledging you, not rebranding you, not reframing you.

So many of you are telling me I’m taking time off to enjoy life. I’m in a slower season. I’m recalibrating. I’m focused on me right now. And you have lots of good reason. I’m focusing on my health, I’m focusing on my mental stability, I’m focusing on my kids, I’m focusing on family. I’ve heard a thousand iterations of I’m focused on me right now. And I want to challenge, very gently and softly and with a lot of love, I just want you to challenge. Actually, I’m not even going to challenge it because I don’t know. But I’m going to ask you to challenge. Is that actually a reframe? Is that a rebrand of you? Is that actually a really gentle way for you to turn off your ambition, to not have to answer to it, to not have to address it? Is it a way of taking a break from it? And why do you need to take a break? You are a lioness or a lion.

If you saw yourself, if your identity shifted and you saw yourself as more capable, more powerful, more resilient, more tough, more empowered, able to take more hits, if you saw yourself as that strong, muscular lioness who’s capable of chasing down the gazelle and going for the kill, if you saw yourself as that, would you need to take time off? Would you desire the soft life? If you felt when you were chasing a gazelle that you were doing the thing that is in your soul that you are meant to be doing, would you still have that same reframe and rebrand? Would you still be having that story about yourself? Maybe, but maybe not. Maybe not.

I think the difference between one maternity leave for me and the other was in the beginning of the first one, I felt like a wounded bird for like two years. I really truly felt there were so many parts of me that felt super powerful and so many parts of myself that felt weak and tender and vulnerable. And the second time around, I felt like a fucking lion. I felt like a lioness who’s got babies in her belly and who is chasing that freaking gazelle and taking it down and dragging it back home.

And what changed was my identity. I remember in my brain, I was like, “I don’t feel vulnerable anymore. I don’t feel like anybody could come after me this maternity leave.” Because I do think, and I’ve had this conversation with and seen a lot of women in the industry talk about this, where they went through their canceling and the biggest amount of hate ever when they got pregnant with their first babies and took their maternity leaves.

I’ve even seen women not announce. I know of at least three that I’m thinking of that specifically said, “I didn’t announce my second pregnancy because I didn’t want to deal with what happened with the first one.” And that’s shocking to me, and it’s not really the point of this. It’s shocking to me, but I remember in my own kind of preparation being like, “Oh, I don’t need to hide. I don’t need to wait. I don’t need to not let people…” I don’t feel vulnerable at all. I’m a lioness. Let’s go. You might see me as vulnerable, but I’m not. It would be a mistake. That’s how I felt.

So I want you to think about, are you lowering your goals? Are you no longer reaching? Are you literally changing your aim completely? Have you let go of ambition? Have you let go of desire? And have you unintentionally let go of drive because the journey feels so hard and you aren’t seeing yourself as capable of that level of hard, capable of that level of difficulty? And if you are, if this is speaking to you in any way, if I had one more shot, I kept thinking of if I had one more shot to coach the people in my inbox and in my customer service, if I did have one more shot, this is what I would say to them. I believe it’s harder to ignore hunger than to fight to feed the hunger.

And I’ve thought about this more times than I could tell you for myself. I think one can be more acute in disappointment and struggle, right? If you’re going for the hunger, if you’re going for the ambition, if you’re fighting for something big, a huge vision, if you’re taking yourself so seriously that you actually believe you could make a million dollars, you actually believe you could make 200k, and then when you don’t, you actually believe you could sell out that launch and no one buys. You’re like, “This is going to be my best launch ever. Worst launch ever.” That disappointment, I believe, is more acute. I also believe if you’re looking at it from this lens, it will be more rewarding. But at the minimum, I believe it’s more honest.

So I think it’s worth questioning which type of pain you want. Pain from being hungry and fighting for what you want and not getting it over and over, maybe, versus the pain from having to choose to believe something isn’t possible for you and then live with a dream you had not being possible and lowering your own self-concept to match what you think is possible and then setting for that. If you lower yourself and you lower your expectations, yes, it might feel softer, but it’s going to also be a little more dishonest. You’re not going to have the feeling of dragging the gazelle back and the pride that comes with that or even like we just had the craziest chase of our life. They got away, but like craziest chase of our life, the way I felt running was incredible.

I believe that even if the best rebrand that allows you to let go of hunger and ambition, even if you do it in the best way possible, like if you are so, so clever and hiding this from yourself, I believe there is sadness, I believe there is grief, I believe there is a very dull, pulsing pain of seeing yourself smaller than your spirit knows you are.

Now again, if you’re just not ambitious, I have no desire to hunt. That’s okay. I also believe that will make for a very difficult entrepreneur journey because of what it takes to even get those first few clients, those first dollars to maintain a 100k business, to maintain a 200k business.

I just had a client who made 100k, and then she didn’t really believe that it was possible for her to make 100k. I’m probably mincing her words, and I’m going to have her on the podcast to talk about it. But then she rebuilt a 100k business, not from hustle, from belief in herself, belief she could do it, a very high-level self-concept, and to see the life inside of her having rebuilt it back.

I can imagine that what’s pulsing through her is invincibility almost versus if she had told herself, “You know what, I did it one time, but that was a special circumstance and I don’t think it’s within me to do it again.” It would have been a completely different feeling, even if she decided to quote unquote make peace with that.

Even if she decided, “Yeah, I mean, it’s cool. I did that. I had that one big year where I made 100k. I don’t need to do that again.” I think you would always know that in the back of your mind.

So I think you’ve got to have this conversation with yourself. You’ve got to know, are you really deep down hungry? Are you ambitious? Is that the truth of who you are? Are you a lioness who actually wants to hunt? You got to know that about yourself. You got to be honest about that, and then you got to go for it. And you’ve got to unwind and get clear on the two hards, the differences in the hards, and look at is the dull, quiet hard, is that actually easier than the acute one? Which one makes you feel more proud, more alive, and more honest with yourself?

And ask yourself, why do you want to be an entrepreneur? Because I also think now more than ever, I really think what’s happening in combination with like the algorithm, buyers, AI, all the things that are kind of converging in 2026. I believe entrepreneurship is requiring more hunger than ever before. You have to really want it.

I was watching this Instagram reel. I can’t remember now because it was like I saw it and then it was gone. But this person was saying, “AI isn’t replacing everyone. It’s replacing the people who aren’t 100% in.” The way the algorithm works, the way buyers are buying now, it’s not putting everyone out of business. It’s putting people who are not tapped into their hunger out of business.

This is a call. She’s like, “The people who are 100% in alignment, in an integrity with their work, who are actively doing the hard things, it’s not just appearances, but they’re actually doing the work, and they’ve been doing the work in the background inside of themselves, those people are making it.” It’s really hard. It might require more of you than ever before. I’ve said this 100 times. In 2020 and 2021 and 2022, the whole world was not out. They weren’t going to dinner, they weren’t going on vacations, they weren’t going to work. They were on the internet. Of course, everybody had record years. That’s never coming back.

So now it’s who’s hungry enough to be more valuable than AI? Who’s hungry enough to figure out how to be seen when the algorithm is crazy and it’s the hardest to ever be seen and engagement’s the lowest? Who’s hungry enough to make their coaching and figure out how to create value and make their coaching valuable enough for people to part with their money and their attention in this day and age? That’s what it’s requiring.

But I think once you do it, you become the leader of the pack. You become the lioness that everyone wants on the hunt. And if you accept this desire and hunger and ambition inside of yourself, if you know this about yourself and you actually see it and you’re like, “Oh, I have been kind of stuffing down my ambition.” If you accept it, then you get to have more honest coaching with your coach, because if you are ambitious and you are hungry and you are in pain because you’re not making it work and it’s not happening, we can coach on that.

We can grow capacity for that. And I’m telling you this from my own experience. This is changing my life. I’m at a place where there are lots of coaches that are talking about retirement or faux retirement, partial retirement, stopping podcast, stopping offers, pulling back, slowing down. And sometimes my brain, over the last four years since I had kids, has tried to go there and been like, “I should do that too. I should be doing that too. What if that were my life?”

And I’ve really walked myself all the way through that. That would be fun for maybe six months. And then what the fuck am I going to do with my life? I really believe I’ll feel the pull again because I’m an ambitious person, because I like to use my brain for hard things. It’s taken me a long time to realize that, like in the depths of my soul, I want to push my brain hard. I want to solve problems. I like doing hard things. I really get energized in doing the hard things.

I was recently coaching with one of my coaches and solving a really high-level, sophisticated business problem. That’s the way I would describe it. And I got this feeling after the call, “Fuck yeah, let’s go.” Like this just belly stir. And I would not have that feeling without being hungry, without having a huge vision, without having big goals, without having disappointment when I don’t achieve all of those big goals.

And mine are like insanely big. I have to sometimes really see that in combination with like, if your goals were smaller, you’d be hitting 100% of them, but you have like crazy ones. So you’re always going to be hitting like 50 or 75% of them or even less because they’re so ridiculously big. Your expectations are so high. And I’ve had to say, like that’s not a problem because they’re really big, and I aim for that ridiculous thing. And if I even get halfway there, I’m still freaking killing it.

It’s a push and pull even for me. But the way that I keep connecting back and the way that I have enjoyed myself in the past several years has been really seeing, I’ve had peace in the hard. And I think developing peace and allowance for the hard as an entrepreneur is a secret weapon. Like knowing I’m an ambitious person and I am hungry, and that will then naturally come with frustration and disappointment and difficulty. So powerful. And also, it’ll never be boring. I tell myself that all the time. I’m never going to get bored. I’m going to be awake and alive to life, to creation, to my highest capacity, my highest capability, my highest potential, and that also comes with a reward.

So, I want you to think about this. Are you hungry? And if you aren’t, is it honest? Do you love your reasons? Or is it unintentional because somewhere along the way you stopped believing big change is possible for you? Somewhere along the way, you stopped believing that you are powerful, you are capable, that you can handle the hard, that you are fucking tough as nails, that you’ve got this, that you can handle more difficult things than you’ve given yourself credit for, that you are stronger, that you are capable of recovering from hard things.

Are you seeing yourself weaker than you really are? Do you like the way you see yourself right now? Are you liking the feeling small? Does it feel good in your body to not be doing what you know you’re meant to be doing, to not be achieving what you want to achieve? You have a dream and you’re not going for it. You’re not playing full out for it. You’re not being obsessive over it because that’s what it’s going to take.

Are you being honest about it? And listen, this comes with no judgment. I think this is the hardest work to make peace and be honest and go through the hard trials and tribulations and see yourself as big. I have told all of my clients and all my programs at some point, I believe this is superhuman. I believe this is above human nature. I know the hard of pulling yourself up. I know the hard of continuing, of keeping going, of going after something really big. I know it. I know the frustration. I know the disappointment.

And there’s something that’s been really magical in my own brain about unwinding this and seeing that this is my ambition and my hunger and my drive to do big things and believe in big things and the potential I see in myself and my clients and the world is actually the most honest conversation I can have with myself. And that I prefer this pain over giving up, rebranding, recalibrating, setting my sights lower. This is the version I’m the most proud of. Doesn’t mean it’s easy by any means.

It doesn’t mean I don’t think less of you if you’re doing this unintentionally, not answering your hunger. But mostly it’s like there was a couple of conversations I had where I just felt sadness and I can’t even describe it, just pure sadness for the clients that I could not help and that I could not show them that they could do it. I couldn’t get them to believe in themselves. It had nothing to do with me, but it was sad to see them not be willing to bet on themselves, not believe in themselves, not think they could do it. I love you all so much, and I want you to believe that you can do it for you if you are ambitious and hungry. I want you to be in the version of yourself that is going for it because I know it will be less hard. And I know you can do it. And I know you’re capable, and I know you’re strong. I know all of these other things.

It’s like my daughter’s learning to walk, and she’s at that point where she will not let go of any of the walls. But I know she can do it. I’m like, “Girl, let’s go. You’ve got this. I know you can do it. Let go.” And I know that when she does, the smile on her face, I know that power and pride is going to surge through her. And that’s what I want for you all from like the cleanest, most loving place in my heart. Answer your ambition. Turn on your hunger. Let’s do this. Okay? That’s what I have for you this week. I love you all so much. Have an amazing week. I will talk to you next week.
