Make Money as a Life Coach® with Stacey Boehman | The Invisible Funnel

What keeps clients finding you even when you are not constantly showing up online? In this episode, I introduce what I call the invisible funnel, the foundation I believe allows me to take time away from my business, post less on social media, and still trust that clients and revenue will continue to come. I share what makes this possible and why it goes far beyond any tangible marketing strategy.

I break down the two parts of the invisible funnel and what they have to do with the way you show up as a coach, the clients you attract, and the relationships you build around your work. I also explore what separates coaches who feel invisible from those who become sought out by the people they most want to serve.

You’ll also hear how this has played out throughout my own business, from the earliest days of building relationships in person to creating communities that continue generating referrals and word of mouth years later. I explain why I believe this kind of connection will matter even more as AI evolves, and what it means for the future of visibility in the coaching industry.

Welcome to the Make Money as a Life Coach® podcast where sales expert and Master Coach Stacey Boehman teaches you how to make your first $2k, $20k, and $200k using her proven formula.

Hey coaches, welcome to episode 405. Are you ready? Today, we’re going to talk about the invisible funnel. And if you are in Clientele, if you were taking my Clientele course right now, we are about to embark on call two. So if you’re taking it or you join us, you’re going to get to hear me present this front to back and back to front. So you’re going to get to hear me talk about the first piece as part one of the invisible funnel, and the second piece is part two. But then I reverse-engineer inside Clientele the course and we start with the result first, and then we back into the first part of the funnel.

So I love that I’m teaching it both ways, so you really get the most out of it. If you’re actually in the course, you can hear me talk about it from both lenses and both directions. And I’m so excited to share this with you because I’ve been thinking so much and answering this question of like what allows me to go to the Four Seasons and take a week off and know that when I come back, I will make money and I will have clients. And what allows me to take a summer off and post only six times on social media and know I’m going to keep making millions of dollars?

What is it that allows me to not feel like I have to be chronically online? And what is it that has me making more money than the standard person with my audience size by far? What has me competing in revenue with people who have 500,000 followers and a million followers? And what has me know that no matter what, I will always make money regardless of what offers I’m selling, what’s happening in the world, how society evolves? Like, I know there will always be value for what I do. And I’m going to tell you a little bit about that today.

I chose the word invisible funnel very carefully. I could have called this the intangible funnel. And that would be probably more like the version of me you know. I have something in 2k for 2k called the selling intangibles. So I almost called it that, the intangible funnel. I think that sometimes helps the less woo coaches, right? The more like, I don’t even know what I would call the more cerebral coaches. But I chose invisible very purposely because when you do not have these pieces in place, when it’s not working for you, the results of your invisible funnel not working will be that you feel invisible.

And Clientele is the first part of the visibility series, a three-course series inside the entrepreneur coach membership. So we’re talking about this from this visibility lens. So, when you are not energetically tapped in, when you don’t feel connected to this invisible funnel, because, you know, the invisible funnel, it’s invisible, so it requires faith, it requires trust, it requires connection to recognize it, to see it, to believe that it’s there. You have to be tapped in, or you will be feeling invisible. Like if it feels invisible to you, like if you can’t see it in your mind, if you can’t feel your connection to it, if you feel disconnected from it, the invisible funnel will make you feel invisible. So I chose that very carefully, this word invisible.

So what the invisible funnel is, the first part of it, is you as the coach being a complete energetic match for your best client. This is what we’re going to dive into creating you being an energetic match in call two of Clientele. It means you are a product of your product. You are living in breakthrough, in the breakthrough that comes from being coached. You get coached, you have a breakthrough. Holy crap, coaching works.

Whether or not you are being coached or you are using the coaching tools on yourself, you are using coaching tools, the things you offer to other people and you are having breakthroughs on yourself, in your business, in your life. You’re getting coached or coaching yourself every day in your brain, working to create new beliefs, working to break through old beliefs, every day. You’re working towards intentional thought. You’re using your brain and your energy towards what matters.

You are holding and processing emotions. You’re feeling your emotions. You’re using your emotions in a powerful way. You’re taking constructive, intentional, purposeful, useful action towards what you want. You’re in the middle of what you want, but accessing your power consistently and getting what you want. And even when you fail, you’re activating resilience. You’re evaluating when you fail, you’re getting up, you’re going again. You’re doing the work regardless of what it is, whether you teach weight loss or marriage coaching, every tool you would pass on to someone else, you are using, not just in your life, but in your business too. And not just in your business, in your life too.

The and life, life and business. This is very important. You can’t let like everything you believe fall out the door because you’re learning how to sell, and you can’t be a master at selling coaching, but you don’t use it behind the scenes. You’re overdrinking and just doing behaviors that would come from not being clean in your life. Right? Like I always say, like if people could look into your life, would your life be great marketing?

Listen, I could go down this whole rabbit hole. We all have shit we’re working on. We all have hard moments. We all have hard things. We all have marriage things that could be better, kid things that we all have that stuff, right? We’re all working the best we can. But like would it be a complete shock to people? Would you like not want any part of it to be seen? Like, are you really grabbing at a highlight reel? That’s what I mean. Okay. Without going too much further down a rabbit hole, you’re doing the work.

If you have been in the Entrepreneur Membership with me and you’ve gotten the chance to go through Balance, that’s also available, that course to me is one of the reasons I started with it being the very first course is because I really thought it was the absolute most important. We went into Balance because if you were going to market yourself as someone who has figured life out, figured out the world, that you understand change of any kind and then you don’t have balance. If you have not created homeostasis inside of yourself, regardless of how imbalanced your life actually is. Like your life could be completely imbalanced.

You could be not sleeping. You could be nursing a baby. I don’t know anyone that’s doing that, still at 13 months. You could be building a business, right? Working at 3:00 a.m. You could have tangible imbalance happening, but if you have homeostasis inside yourself, you have the secret to the universe. That is what I believe, and that is what has been true for me my entire time in this career and my entire experience with coaching.

You could be going through a messy divorce and dealing, you know, with a job that’s very frustrating while also building a business and exhausted and no time for yourself, you could still have homeostasis inside. You could be going through bankruptcy and have homeostasis inside.

Like, I have the secret to the universe if I know how to impact my inner world. I actually don’t think our results matter because there are people, like look at celebrities, they have everything. They have fame, they have money, they have ease in their life. They have soft life. They have everyone doing everything for them, and they are miserable, so many of them. They do not have the secret to life.

You could be a millionaire, you could have the house, the car, all the things, and not have the secret to life. And then you could be going through bankruptcy and have the secret to life. So this is what I mean by energetic match. The bar is very high for this. This is not easy breezy. I don’t think that’s what life coaching is, even though that is what I thought I signed up for. If you guys have not heard this story, I read very quickly, you know how your eyes will just read a few letters and then make out what it thinks the word is. And so I thought I signed up for casual coaching, like a certification in casual coaching.

And I believe that I had to write in my pre-work, like, what does that mean? I’m like, what, coaching soccer moms? What I actually signed up for was causal coaching, taking radical damn responsibility for your mind. So I thought it was going to be easy breezy. Turns out it wasn’t. That’s not what we’re talking about, not casual coaching. But I remember coming into the coaching industry and this is what was said. The entry bar into the coaching industry is very low because anybody can call themselves a coach, but the success bar is very high.

Right? Anyone can call themselves a coach, but the ones who are going to make it, and I believe this is true, especially now in the age of AI, artificial intelligence that is quickly and rapidly growing smarter and faster than humans are. The ones who are going to make it are the ones who are a product of their product and use that to figure out entrepreneurship by being a product of their product.

The coaches who are going to make it are living in breakthrough. They are walking the talk every single day, no matter how challenging it is. They are managing their minds. They are accessing their power in every single powerless moment. When you achieve that, not when you’re certified, not when someone deems you ready to coach other people, because that’s another thought error that I had. I’m not going to lie.

I’ve talked about this story many times. I thought I was going to get certified. Clients were going to show up. I genuinely believed that, and that is not what happened. And I do see coaches genuinely believe they’re going to get certified. That’s the answer. They’re going to go to an advanced certification, a master certification. They’re going to go through schooling and get their psychology degree. Like, you guys tell me these things. You think that’s going to be the difference.

Of course, like I think it’s so helpful. That’s why I did it. I went through certification and master certification. But it doesn’t make clients arrive just to be clear, right? It might make you more confident, but people knowing suddenly about your accolades and your education doesn’t mean that they’re going to just come running. And you might feel a little bit like, what happened? Where’d they go? That’s what I thought. Where are the clients?

But what happens when you step into an energetic match for your best client, for someone looking for help and you are actively giving it to yourself, creating it within yourself, creating change, when you’re in the mix of it, in the middle of it. You don’t even have to be on the other side. But when you’re in the middle of it, living in breakthrough, product of your product, you become a best match for a serious client. You are the match for an ideal client who wants to do the work because the best clients want to do the work.

They’re not looking for shortcuts. They’re not trying to figure out how to do it without having pain. They’re not trying to figure out how to get it quick, get their results quick. They’re not trying to figure out how to do it without investing time and energy. They’re not trying to figure out how to get chat to do it for them. They’re not trying to find shortcuts and do it without energy and do it without risk. I believe, at least my best clients, see the risk and choose it without you having to sell them really hard because they understand the way they’re living now is worse than that.

They would risk everything. Like I remember, I was the type of client, take all my money I have in this earthly world. Like I did that. All the monies I had and geared it towards my emotional well-being because I had this thought, what else matters? I’m miserable. And I haven’t figured out anything else anyways. Like I’m already at rock bottom. Let’s try to build from here. I was willing to risk it all because I was in so much pain. The best client will be willing to risk it all their time, their energy, telling their partner they’re doing this, standing up to family and friends who maybe laugh about it. They’ll ask their boss for time off for it.

They will do extraordinary things. They’ll be resourceful to get the money. The best clients will do that to go after their dreams, to get out of their pain, to solve the thing. But they have to match with a coach, being that person doing those things that no one else would be doing, approaching their life in a superhuman way. No one else they know is going to be doing that. But when you’re living your life that way, and they know you, you’re empowering yourself and your hardest circumstances, living your tools, they will show up. And most of those people are not even presenting themselves. They’re not visible to you.

It feels like they show up out of nowhere. And they will continue to show up as long as you are walking the walk and believing in your coaching tools and using them on yourself. And then, obviously, like telling the world about it. You still got to market. You can’t just sit there in your office by yourself and use your tools and suddenly clients come up. They’ve got to know you’re out, that you’re open for business. They got to know how to work with you. They got to know your offers are, obviously.

But this is how I think you know whether you’re doing this or not. Okay? When shit gets really bad, when your life is really hard, when you’re feeling really bad, do you disengage from coaching or do you double down? I think this is the easiest way to know how much you actually believe in coaching tools. Like when the shit really hits the fan, are you like, okay, I got to go find a coach. I got to find a coach to figure this out. I’ve got to get coaching on this. I got to find a course on this.

Are you actively engaged in the answer to my problems is coaching in some way, some way shape or form, even if it’s coaching yourself. Like I got to coach myself on this. I’ve got to use my tools. I’ve got to change my thinking. I’ve got to expand my capacity. If that is you and you actually go do that and you utilize the coaching and you overcome your problem consistently, you’re going to attract clients like crazy forever.

There will be no other thing you have to be doing that is the foundation in this way. You’ll be doing other things for sure, but this is the absolute foundation. Of course I’m working on my actual tangible funnels. Of course I’m emailing my list, things like that. But I just believe if I’m thinking about like, what allows me to go to the Four Seasons for a week and never check in on my business? What allows me to know, no matter how big AI gets or how much free stuff is on the internet, that I’m still going to be hired? What allows me to like not have to be chronically online? I believe when I am ready for money to come in, I will make money.

I can pick anything back up because I am sought out. People find my podcast, they’re thinking about working with me while I’m on vacation because I am consistently an energetic match. I also, like this is very woo, but I believe I just like energetic match, and then someone finds me somehow. Like I am presented. Whether someone finds a post, they’re sent a post, whether they’re scrolling and looking on podcasts, maybe they’re going to ask Chat, “How do I get clients as a life coach,” and my stuff’s going to pop up. Like when I’m in an energetic match, people find me. That’s a thought I have. I’ll never go out of business, no matter how much technology changes and how much the landscape changes. I am an energetic match, and an energetic match will never run out of clients to coach.

It’s an ultimate invisible funnel that continues to bring people always. If I am loving my life and I’m loving my business, people will continue to show up in droves for the answers to that because they want that. And to me, someone could not have that and be posting reels in their face every single day. And they could be following and liking and doing all the things and they could have a million followers.

I actually ask my clients this all the time. Like think about the people that you follow that maybe, you know, make a lot more money than me or have a lot more followers than me, but you’re not hiring them. You hire me. Why? What is that? I believe it’s the energetic match. It’s the invisible funnel. It’s really hard to compete with. When you’re a product of your product, you have what people want and it’s authentic and it’s real even in the background when people look at your life. You’re not having to post just the highlights. You’re just posting your life. Just is what it is. Like it’s not what it looks like, like it is what it is. The background matches the reel. Clients will always show up. That is my belief.

So that’s the first part of the funnel. The second part of the invisible funnel is like the advanced piece of this. Once you get people reaching out, two people reaching out, three people, four people, five people. Once you start getting a rhythm of people reaching out because you’re an energetic match, you’re walking the talk as a coach, being the best coach for the best clients. Once you get those people rolling in, then this is the thing, like kind of the secret thing that no one talks about, especially as an entrepreneur and if you’re a solopreneur in your day and you’re more focused on thinking about the next client. Like, it’s me and I’m solopreneuring and I’m thinking about that next client that I got to sign.

What many of you are not thinking about is your community. Some of you don’t even see yourself as a community builder. You don’t see yourself as ever, you know, your people being people that would engage in a community. But community is the second part of this invisible funnel, building, maintaining, fostering, engaging community, building trust, building connection, creating relationships, not just with you, but with your community members. Community is what keeps people around.

People are always telling me, like, oh, I get referrals and I get some word of mouth, but it’s not a lot. When you have a community where people have an experience of belonging, when people feel like they have found their people, they invite other people in. I’m literally right now creating community as a mom at my son’s school. I’ve done it one person, one relationship at a time. And now I have a community of friends. Like, we all get together on a regular basis. One person’s hosting a party here, one’s hosting a party there. And you know, I’m having a Halloween party. I’m having girls over Friday for cocktails for dinner. I’ve hosted movie nights. And the more community you have, the more people you want to be a part of that community.

So I was telling my husband, I was like, oh my gosh, I don’t want to leave this person out. I don’t want to leave that person out. Well, your people, they feel that way too. The more best clients that you have, that you bring in, the more community feel you create, the more belonging they experience, they want to go bring other people into that because it feels so good. I know with absolute certainty, and I’ve read so much about this, that the future of the coaching industry really is going to lie in communities. The future of the coaching industry is going to lie in proximity, in events, in relationships, in mattering, in belonging, especially as we usher in more and more AI.

Like, if you’re using AI in your business, it should absolutely, like if you’re smart, if you’re savvy, if you can figure it out, I would not make it your job to figure it out. But if you can quickly integrate AI into your back-end processes of your business so that you can save on hiring a VA, hiring this out, hiring that out or make things faster, amazing. But don’t hire AI to do any part of your marketing or your selling. Hire it. Like, don’t have it do it, right? Don’t be using it to do any part of the relationship building. Because the fastest way to create disconnection is to send artificial intelligence in instead of a real human, because what people want is human connection.

That’s how connection happens, human to human. People building connection with chat is weird. Think about the people marrying AI. Like, that is weird. Sorry. Love you. That’s weird. That’s not emotionally stable and normal to be marrying your AI. It’s actually quite scary. But why are people doing that? Like, if you go to the very, very deep bottom, they’re missing and lacking human connection. And we’re going to lack more and more and more of it as time goes on, and we’re going to need it more and more.

Like the biggest companies right now are doubling down on events, on bringing people together, on getting in front of people, on proximity, on trust, on connection, on relationship. That is where the money is going to be. And the people who do it best are the people who have the foundation of being the product of their product, being an energetic match, when I’m talking about coaches because what lights a coaching community on fire is when their coach, when their leader, when you’re a coach and a leader, is going first and going often and going with purpose and actively engaged in their own growth.

When the leader is actively investing in themselves and learning and getting help and passing that on. When the leader is alive to their life and their business. When the leader is alive to their challenges. When the leader is meeting everything that comes their way head-on with a powerful attitude and then passing that on to the community, then the community, the aliveness of that community is that, right? You’re leading the energetic space of the community and everyone wants to come in and be drawn into a community where everyone is alive and everyone is engaged and everyone is activated. They’re in their power, moving towards something with intention. Everybody wants that.

So if you’re not creating that because you see yourself as like someone who your people just would never engage in a community. Like you see your work as like outside of a community. People tell me that all the time. Like, unless you’re someone like me who has built a multi-million dollar company for 10 years and has already built and established communities and clientele. Like, unless you have that, you’re probably not in the time and space of your business where you have the luxury to say, I don’t really feel like doing that.

And I do think you can do it online. We had a conversation last week about being able to do this online. I 100% believe you can, but I was just telling them, like, if I had to start my business over with the current life I have, I would absolutely get out of my house and go like, create events for people to come to. I mean, I’m doing that with my friends. And you know, my daughter can’t always come with me. So it’s like just things I’m doing with my son, but I’m doing them because I want him to have community, and I understand that the biggest part of community is being together, is togetherness.

And I know that y’all aren’t going to like that answer in a virtual world where most of you, especially if you claim to be an introvert, like you’re going to want to hide behind your computer screen. And you’re going to want to only participate in virtual things because it’s easier and there’s less friction. It doesn’t require you to drive or get dressed or put your makeup on or shower or whatever.

Entrepreneurs love to just be like hermits. And so I know y’all don’t me to tell you this, but I would just be lying if I didn’t. In fact, I showed a whole slideshow of photos to my students in Clientele, and I’m like, I showed them photos from like the first two years of my business or the first three years, prior to 200k, prior to 2k. And I was like, look how often I was in person with people.

Whether it was family, friends, client- most of them are clients, but I showed kind of a mix of everything. I was consistently online, posting photos of me creating connection, being in community with people. I created an experience where people were like, she is like alive to life. Look at all her friends, look at all her clients, look how much fun everybody’s having. I want that too.

So I have this client, she wants to make 1.5 million dollars, and she’s like, I have kids, and I don’t want to be traveling. And listen, I get that. I totally get that. But it depends on where you’re at in your life and in your business. She wants to go from 500k to 1.5 million. And she’s telling me that she gets invited to do these huge conferences, and it’s very rare to get invited to be a speaker, but she’s getting invited, and there’s two that are like the biggest conferences, like for what she does, and it really propels you as like an authority, and she gets tons of clients from there.

But she’s working on like building her authority in this industry. Like, it’s still a newer thing. And so I told her, I was like, I want you to think about, but she was thinking, I don’t want to go to them. Like, I want to build totally online. I was like, okay, how many days would you have to be like away from your kids to go to these events? Like, could you fly in the night before, do the talk, fly out that night, and be away from them for two nights? And she’s like, yes. And I’m like, how many of these are there a year? Like, what are we talking? Let me know what the circumstance is. She’s like, well, there’s really two that matter.

And I’m like, okay, so let’s put this in context. There’s 365 days a year. Could you be away from your kids for four days a year? Maybe not even to go to 1.5 million dollars. My guess is like it could be that five million dollars is on the table. 1.5 is what’s on the table with you not wanting to leave your house. But if you were willing to go to a few conferences a year for a few years to build up your reputation and to build up your clientele and to build your own community that then you bring online with you. But you make 1.5 million or maybe you make five million instead of 1.5 million, will it be worth it?

Would you be willing to do that? And she’s like, oh my god, absolutely. And you could just be like me and be like, listen, hubby, the kids got to come with us. I can’t be away from them.

I’m actually leaving my kids. I’m going to be on a podcast with Kara Loewentheil. So I’m flying to New York in October, and my husband has told me I’m not allowed to bring the kids. I tried. I tried to bring them. He said, no, we’re going by ourselves. So I am leaving my house for two nights, the same as I just coached my client. I’m going to be leaving so that I can take that opportunity for myself. But listen, I really do get it.

And like are you willing to do that to truly establish yourself and make a mark and develop something that’s much bigger than you that takes off without you? Like, that’s something to think about for those of you that don’t want to leave your house is like, I think it could create lasting impact on your business if you’re willing to build community.

If you want people to refer you out, like if we’re talking about referrals and you know, someone’s saying I need help, I want you to imagine this. Like someone’s like, I need an expert business coach and someone knows many business coaches. Like they’re likely not going to say, oh my god, you got to go work with her, this person I’ve never met or a marriage coach, you got to go work with her, this person I’ve never met.

But if you’ve met someone in person and had conversations with them, even if you’ve never worked with them, even if you’ve never personally hired them, and someone says, oh my God, I really need help with my marriage. Oh my God, I met this incredible human, and we talked about marriage, and we talked about relationships. Oh my God, you got to look her up. People do that.

People refer people that they have the most proximity with, that they have the strongest relationships with. They don’t do that for people that they don’t know. They say that about people that they unequivocally trust. This is how I built my business, relationship building, community building, creating proximity, being an idea factory for how to do that, how to create community building and proximity, how to get in front of as many people as I could personally and impacting them.

So when I did have retreats, someone wasn’t signing up to go to a retreat with some rando on the internet. They were signing up to go to a retreat and spend a week with someone they already knew, liked, and trusted and had actually met and touched in person. We got really far away from that in COVID times and it worked in COVID times. But what’s happening and my clients were even saying this on the program, it’s like, the chat was blowing up with, like, yeah, but things are swinging back the other way because now people are starved for that again. They’re starved for in-person. They want that. They want to be able to have that for proximity.

And like I was telling them, like, do you think if you’ve bought something, think about the last thing you’ve bought, were you like, oh my god, it’s totally worth it because I have an AI chatbot coach. You can ask the AI chat or the AI coach, whatever they call it, I don’t know what they call it, but oh my God, so valuable. I’ve got to buy from this business coach because there’s a chat. I can get coaching from an AI bot. No, you’re like, how much access do I have to the person leading the program?

This is what people are asking in my inbox. Is Stacey leading all the calls? Number one question I’m getting about my membership. How often will I be able to get coached by you? Number one question I get about my Mastermind. They want to know, do I get Stacey? Right now, you get me in my programs. Every other week we have a guest in my 2k for 2k, but every other program, you’re getting all of me all the time. And I’m getting that question because we’re having a swing back around.

So if you have not built that yet, if you have not built community, if you have not built proximity, if you have not built know like and trust personally, this could be your biggest opportunity in your business, building a community because that’s what clientele is, right? It’s a client base, but you’re going to have a stronger client base if it’s a community, if there is something that ties everybody together. So you could still have clientele, you could still have a client base without a community, but if you have a community and you could run that a thousand ways, people are more tied together.

So I really want you to associate clientele and your client base. I want you to start associating that with building community, building a community of people who are activated by your work, going out into the world and they can’t help but tell other people about you. I remember there was a moment when this really took off for me. Actually, a couple moments in my career, but one of those moments was before I became a business coach and I was life coaching. And then one of them was when I was actually scaling my business, and this one was the one that felt like the most dramatic when I was scaling.

I remember going to an event at my coaching school and I had launched 2k for 2k maybe like six months prior or a year prior. I don’t remember the exact timeline, but 2k for 2k was a whisper in the room. My name got brought up so many different times over a two-day event. People were walking up to me saying, oh my God, I heard I’ve got to join 2k for 2k. The amount of people who came up to me and said, someone told me I must get into 2k for 2k, my friend, my coach, colleague, my peer, whatever, it’s like, I’ve got to get into 2k for 2k.

And I remember thinking, what is happening here? But what was happening is I had given my people, even virtually, so much proximity to me. I had spent so much time really thinking about what the 2k community was, what our values were, what do we care about, what are going to be the rules inside the Facebook group? How do we engage with each other? What’s the belonging I want to foster? How do I want to lead everybody that comes through? What’s the mission I want to give everybody? What’s the purpose I’m directing us all to? And it was so evident.

And the program was amazing, which the program is amazing, which is what helps. But then on top of that, I’m out in other communities communing with people. I’m showing up. I’m having conversations with people. Every person that tapped on my shoulder, I was talking to them and hearing them. I was having conversations in my DMs. I’m having conversations at the end of my webinars. I was creating experiences where people could come in and talk to me live. And it just took off like wildfire.

And the very first time that my business blew up, it was a very similar experience. I had been out engaging in my community. I had been going to other people’s communities, like literally even different cities and building communities in other cities that I do not live in. And I’m not saying you have to do that, but that’s what I was willing to do.

I started bringing people together all the time. Like, I remember I did this photo shoot and I had my clients like come to Louisville and come together and I pampered them all day. And I got photos for myself, but then I got photos with them in the photos as well. And that’s kind of like where Diva Business School was born.

The photos of that created such know like and trust for other people because they saw my clients engaging with me and having a great time, and they were like, I want that. I want to be a part of that. That looks amazing and fun. People started driving down to meet me for dinner, driving for networking events that I set up.

Like, I remember doing a networking event that I set up in Indianapolis, Indiana, two hours from Louisville, Kentucky, and my clients drove from Louisville to Indianapolis because, at this point, they knew I have fun anytime I’m in Stacey’s presence. And they’re telling other people, oh, you got to join this thing. You got to come do this thing. And it started picking up like traction because I created a space of belonging and I united at the time these women on this mutual mission of expressing ourselves and going after our dreams and living a bigger, better life and going after it and doing all the things. Like they weren’t all entrepreneurs, but many of them had big goals.

And what happens is this inevitably becomes this invisible funnel that nobody can touch. They could see 10 other coaching offers, but if their best friend says, this is the coach you need to go work with, they’re going to go work with that coach. If their coworker says, oh, I know this girl, let me send you her stuff, they’re going to go with that person.

If there’s a community to be involved with and they match the values and the desires of that community and the energy of that community, they’re going to want to be in and stay in for a very long time, which is why I still have clients that started with me during my Diva Business School days. I have clients that have been with me since the earliest of early days, even prior to that, they’re in my world, they’re in my peripheral because they love being a part, like even if they’re not running a business anymore or I don’t have an offer that like matches what they’re looking for right now or whatever it is, like they’re still in my world because they love my community.

So my invisible funnel that holds me up when I’m at the Four Seasons, spending a week off in my business, off of social media, being able to take maternity leaves and summers off with my kids, not attaching my business’s demand to my presence on social media and how often I’m putting content in the front of people’s faces. The thing that actually holds everything up is the invisible funnel. I am the best match for my best clients. I create incredible community. My network is worth millions of dollars. I bring people together. I lead them. I go first. I go often. I go with purpose towards a shared mission and vision right now of the And Life. That’s what I’ve been calling everybody into.

I bring everybody with me and then they feel such belonging, they get such value. I deliver to them such an incredible experience. They meet such incredible people that they tell everybody about it. Maybe a year or two ago, I posted in 2k for 2k, and I said, how did you find me? And the number one answer was word of mouth, referral. That is my invisible funnel. I’m an energetic match. I create incredible communities. I go first, I go often, and go with purpose.

You guys have heard me say this. And it takes off like wildfire. People belong. They choose me, they choose each other, they choose the community and I create a sense of belonging that people don’t want to leave. And I have that same thing with other people. There are places and companies that I’ll never leave, communities that I’m a part of that I love being a part of. And that’s it. That’s the invisible funnel.

And I’m teaching you all this funnel. Every piece going into each one of them every single call inside Clientele.
